The path that I have taken has offered its fair share of stress. I have spent time in the military and a good portion in the service departments of heavy equipment dealerships. The military should be obvious about its share of stress. In the service departments of these heavy equipment dealerships is where I experienced the most stress after I reached the milestone of management. Now I am sure a lot of the stress I endured is self inflicted as I am a perfectionist and find I want others to be as well. This will in itself allow for stress in a person. Now, let me explain a little of what goes on in a Heavy Equipment Service Department. You start each and every morning taking calls from people that have machines that are in need of repair to some degree so that they can provide the service that they are using the equipment for. Some are understanding and will be somewhat patient. Some are only interested in their machine running and do not care who they step on to get it repaired. They can be very toxic and unreasonable. Also a service department has employees. These employees are there to repair customer’s machines and they are to do this while making your company look good. The latest service department that I have worked in has about 38 employees. Employees all with different personalities, with their own issues and with their own agenda to some degree. So add as I mentioned before that I am somewhat of a perfectionist and you have a naturally negative situation that has the ability to get out of control.
I had days that I would go home mentally exhausted. I would go home and sit in my recliner in my room in the dark and not wanting to do anything or think about anything. Sometimes my wife would come in asking what I would like for dinner. She of course wanted to accommodate me as she understood my situation. I would be a little unreasonable as I did not want to make any kind of decisions as I had been making them all day. If I did not mention, I also speak sometimes before I think about what I am about to say. This as you can see caused some tension in our life not to mention stress in hers as well. So as you can see I understand stress.
What is Stress?
Stress is a normal physical response to events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in some way. When you sense danger – whether it’s real or imagined – whether it can be physical or mental - the body's defenses kick into high gear in a rapid, automatic process known as the “fight-or-flight” reaction, or the stress response.
The stress response is the body’s way of protecting you. When working properly, it helps you stay focused, energetic, and alert. In emergency situations, stress can save your life – giving you extra strength to defend yourself, for example, or spurring you to slam on the brakes to avoid an accident - or maybe defending your decision or honor.
The stress response also helps you rise to meet challenges. Stress is what keeps you on your toes during a presentation at work, sharpens your concentration when you’re attempting the game-winning free throw, or drives you to study for an exam when you'd rather be watching TV.
But beyond a certain point, stress stops being helpful and starts causing major damage to your health, your mood, your productivity, your relationships, and your quality of life.
How much stress is too much?
Because of the widespread damage stress can cause, it’s important to know your own limit. But just how much stress is “too much” differs from person to person. Some people roll with the punches, while others crumble at the slightest obstacle or frustration. Some people even seem to thrive on the excitement and challenge of a high-stress lifestyle.
Your ability to tolerate stress depends on many factors, including the quality of your relationships, your general outlook on life, your emotional intelligence, your experiences throughout your life and genetics.

So, How Can I Help?
Did you know that 75% to 90% of all doctor's office visits are for illnesses related to stress?
No surprise, scientific research has confirmed the crucial role stress plays in causing and aggravating different disorders such as hypertension, strokes, heart attacks, diabetes, ulcers, neck or low back pain and other "Diseases of Civilization" like cancer. Stress also impairs a person's ability to focus attention and concentrate. It makes one feel exhausted, grouchy, anxious, sad and "down in the dumps."
Stress can negatively affect one's personal relationships, cause sleep problems like Insomnia, and accidents. In the worst cases, those who can't handle extreme anxiety may even end up committing suicide!
So, the problem is that life hands out stress to each and every one of us on a daily basis in all shapes and forms. By adulthood we have an internal program running inside of us that handles this stress. In a lot of us, the way we handle stress is inadequate to allow for a happy and healthy life. Some of us read up and educate ourselves but still find we continue to run that program and handle it as we have for so long. Through hypnosis, we can change that programming and allow you to handle stress in a more healthy way. If the program keeps running, then our level of stress and anxiety continue to wear on the mind and body.
Through hypnosis, which is the focused state of concentration that increases suggestibility, you will be guided through exercises that help you learn how to adapt to stressful situations, resolve existing anxieties, and create new ways of looking at the world.
The beauty is that through my hypnosis system, we can change our unconscious thoughts and take control over our subconscious mind. This change allows you to unconsciously handle stress in a less dangerous manner and allow a better quality of life. Through my hypnosis system we can eliminate how a person handles these stressors and even eliminate depression that some experience as a result of stress.
Keep in mind that the signs and symptoms of stress can also be caused by other psychological and medical problems. If you’re experiencing any of the warning signs of stress, it’s important to see a doctor for a full evaluation. Your doctor can help you determine whether or not your symptoms are stress-related.
So, you can see Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy is very effective for when the need to change the programming is necessary. Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy can help when nothing has.
